Get ready for some exciting news! The development partners behind the upcoming Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, are expanding their horizons with a second joint venture: Janu Al Marjan Island. This collaboration promises to bring a fresh perspective to luxury hospitality.
This new resort is a partnership between Wynn Resorts, Limited (you can find them on the Nasdaq under the ticker WYNN) and Marjan LLC. They've teamed up with the Aman Group, known for creating exceptional hotels and residences, who will manage and operate Janu Al Marjan Island. The grand opening is planned for late 2028.
But what exactly is Janu? The name, derived from Sanskrit, means 'soul'. The resort aims to offer a unique experience centered around genuine human interaction, playful expression, and social wellness. It will be located directly across from the Wynn Al Marjan Island.
Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, expressed enthusiasm, stating that the Aman Group is 'world class' and that Janu's guests and residents will be a valuable addition to Wynn Al Marjan Island.
Arch. Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan, highlighted that Janu's arrival signifies a major step for Ras Al Khaimah as a world-class destination. He emphasized the commitment to creating exceptional experiences that appeal to global travelers. Janu's focus on soulful luxury aligns perfectly with Marjan's vision for Al Marjan Island.
Here's what you can expect: The hotel will feature 132 rooms with stunning Arabian Gulf views. Guests can enjoy a Janu Wellness center with a yoga studio, gym, banya, and hammam. There will also be a Mixology Bar, two restaurants, a nightlife venue, and a dedicated Kids' Club. Plus, a private beach, a Beach Club, and a pool will be available for residents and guests.
Adjacent to the hotel, a residential tower will offer Janu Residences, with units ranging from one to five bedrooms, along with a selection of standalone villas.
Let's not forget about Wynn Al Marjan Island itself! Set to open in 2027, it will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, located approximately 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport. It will boast 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. Other amenities include an extensive poolscape, a five-star spa, a marina with 99 berths, a 15,000-square-meter shopping promenade, and a 7,500-square-meter events center.
