Shreveport's water crisis: A city on edge, but help is on the way!

In response to the water main break, the Shreveport Water & Sewerage Department is taking swift action. Bottled water is being sourced from across the region and distributed at Lee Hedges Stadium and Huntington High School. But here's the catch: it's a first-come, first-served situation, with a limit of one case per vehicle. So, residents, get there early!
Additional distribution sites are planned for the Louisiana State Fairgrounds, ensuring more access to this essential resource.

- 10:55 am CT: The water department is gearing up for repairs. Temporary and permanent solutions are in the works to restore normal water pressure. Your patience is appreciated!
- 8:59 am CT: LSUS campus reopens, resuming normal operations.
- 5:31 pm CT, March 2: Robinson Film Center and Abby Singer's are taking precautions during the boil advisory. Boiled water for food prep and bottled/canned drinks are the new norm.
- 5:28 pm CT, March 2: LSUS campus closes early due to water issues but plans to reopen on March 3 with adjusted class formats.
- 5:25 pm CT, March 2: Northwestern State University Shreveport moves to remote work and virtual learning until further notice.
- 5:20 pm CT, March 2: The City of Shreveport urges residents to follow official Facebook updates.
- 5:17 pm CT, March 2: Caddo Parish Schools mostly shift to virtual learning on March 3 due to water pressure issues, except for specific campuses.
